Saturday was Dave and Rikki’s wedding, and it was a GORGEOUS day. The ceremony was held at St. Patrick’s in Onalaska, WI.
Dave and Rikki saw each other before the ceremony. We had a special first look and got all of those posed portraits out of the way. Dave choked up, but just for a second.
We walked around Riverside park after the ceremony. Dawn Silva, my second shooter, captured this shot.
And, Dawn captured the shot on the left, as well.
Riverside had a “fitness festival” going on, and Ronald McDonald really, really, really wanted a picture with the bride and groom. To be honest, he was sort of scary! 🙂
Then to the reception! This cake smelled SO good.
This wedding was the first that I have ever really worked with a professional videographer. He did a same day edit of the ceremony (as well as a photo montage of Dave and Rikki) and showed it during the reception. I get asked all of the time about videographer recommendations, and never have anyone to suggest. Definitely check out Moments Video Productions out of Eau Claire, WI. This shot is of the wedding party watching the video.
We stepped outside after dinner and got some really pretty sunset pictures along the Black River beach.
Do you see that saxophone player back there? After their first dance, Dave had this guy play a song for Rikki and then Rikki sang a song for Dave. Very sweet!
Dawn and I are getting into the groove of the off-camera flash and I LOVE it. I’m excited to use it more this year.
Dave and Rikki, I’ve had such a blast working with you two. You’re so fun! I know you will have many years of happiness together.

Awesome job as usual. Do you have a clause in your contract that you only accept the most beautiful brides? Seriously! Your couples are always gorgeous.
Next time we meet up, we’ll have to strobist gab 🙂
These are wonderful. The portrait of the bride looking right at the camera–so pretty. And I love the sunset pictures best. Awesome job as usual.
