If you follow my Facebook fan page (and you should!), you know that last week I shot a proposal. Matt contacted me earlier in the week with a grand plan to propose to his girlfriend, Lindsay, on Friday evening. He set-up a picnic at Riverside park, had the Freight House cater, and, of course, hired me to take pictures of the whole thing. Lindsay didn’t know about me, so I sat in the park behind a tree and pretended to talk on the phone. When Matt got down on one knee though, I started snapping away. The light was just amazingly perfect.
We walked around the park for a while and took some pictures before their food arrived. I felt a little bit like the 3rd-wheel because they were in their own happy, in-love world.
Lindsay kept looking at her ring. It was so cute.
Matt, thank you so much for asking me to capture such an important moment. Congratulations, you two!

I love this idea so much! And the pictures turned out amazing. I can see this catching on. Did you feel like a stalker or paparazzi? 🙂
Soooo romantic! Lots of preparation on Matt’s part, I’m so impressed! Lindsay is a lucky girl!
And what about you, Ms. Photog? So stealthy behind the tree 🙂 Nice work!
