Saturday was Boyd and April’s wedding. You may remember them from their engagement session and their family session. You also may remember that I was friends with April in grade school. She grew up in Viroqua, WI just a few miles down the road from me, which is where their wedding took place. I’ve been looking forward to this wedding since they booked me last winter. I knew it was going to be great, and I was not dissapointed.
I know Boyd and April were nervous about the weather, and leading up to Saturday the forecast said 0% chance of rain. You can’t get better than that! Saturday was really a spectacular fall day. The ceremony was held in her parent’s backyard and the reception was held in the pole shed (but it definitely didn’t look like a pole shed!). Today’s post will feature everything up to the reception, and tomorrow I’ll finish up with the reception and some sunset pictures.
My second shooter, Dawn Silva, and I arrived at the farm bright and early for getting ready pictures. Can you see Boyd’s Batman cuff links? They were a present from April.
I’m trying really hard not to make this whole sneak peak about April, but given that she’s my friend and she was just absolutely radiant, it was hard not to take lots of pictures of her.
Most of my detail shots were taken in their garage. Gorgeous light!
This shot of April and her Grandma was also taken in the garage!
The men…a repeat, but I still love it. The bean fields have turned brown, but I think it worked well with April’s color scheme.
The ceremony – GORGEOUS! You can’t tell in this pictures, but all of the guests are seated on hay bales.
Some more details from the day. The first three pictures on the LEFT were taken by Dawn Silva. The two on the RIGHT were taken by me.
This photo was taken by Dawn Silva.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post and lots more beautiful pictures.
