Josh & Stephanie’s wedding, part 2 || La Crosse, WI wedding photographer

Josh and Stephanie’s reception took place at the Coffee Mill ski lodge in Wabasha, MN. Josh and Stephanie and their families worked on getting the lodge ready for their reception for over a week. Stephanie’s mom kept telling, “Remember there was nothing here and we even had to hose the room down!” It was worth it too. The room was amazing! I have so many reception shots that I just couldn’t possibly share all of my favorites. I’m not even posting first dance pictures. I will have to share more images from their wedding later.

The room…the theme for the reception was “enchanted forest.”

Some other reception details

Perhaps my favorite candid moment that I’ve ever captured. I was up on a balcony getting a room shot and trying to capture these globes hanging from the ceiling. I spotted the couple talking with each other and much to my delight they kissed! 🙂

The ring shot (their last name is Cherry).

After dinner, it stopped raining. So, I grabbed Josh and Stephanie for some more pictures of just them. The area around the lodge was so beautiful.

This photo was taken by my second shooter, Dawn Silva.

After dinner and the toasts, they played a slideshow of pictures and a video that they took when they got engaged in Seattle. It was probably one of the cutest videos ever. Stephanie kept saying, “look at my sparkly ring!” 🙂 This shot is of them enjoying the video.

Josh’s dad is the lead singer in two different bands. They both played at the reception, and did an awesome job. The dance was so fun!

Finally, in between sets, they started a bonfire with s’mores, brought out some popcorn, and shot off fireworks. This reception was definitely a memorable one for everyone involved.

Josh and Stephanie, what can I say? I loved your wedding. I had so much fun, and I’m having so much fun editing your pictures. I hope you had a great honeymoon. You definitely deserved the relaxtion after all of the work you put into your wedding. You guys are so sweet, and I’m so honored to have been part of your wedding. Thank you! I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
