Dear Tony and Melissa,
How much do I love thee, let me count the ways…
1) You are SO cute.
2) You are SO into the pictures, yay!
3) You are SO fun.
4) You stopped in the middle of the road, pointed to a field and drove into it. Um, yes, you are SO awesome.
5) You are SO easy to work with.
Is that enough gushing? Maybe I should just post the pictures and you can see why I’m SO excited about Tony and Melissa. (I’ll stop saying SO now too.)
I don’t normally share this many pictures from an engagement session, but we took A LOT. I couldn’t decide and thought, “why do I have to choose, I’ll post them all!”
We started out at the Pearl ice cream and coffee shop in La Crosse, WI.
Then we headed down to Riverside.
This pose was their idea. Now do you see why I love them so much?
Months ago when Melissa and I were emailing about ideas for the session, she mentioned that when they were in high school, Tony took her in his pick-up to a field and they slow-danced in the bed. She thought that might be a good idea for a picture? I think I squealed in delight when I read that. I had this idea in my head, but I couldn’t figure out a place. I wanted TALL grass, but I also didn’t want to trespass on someone’s land. As we were driving from Riverside to our second location, Tony saw this field and pointed to it. I thought it looked good, so he drove his truck into it. There were grasshoppers everywhere and I was wearing sandals, but it was worth it.
We finished off the session at a friend’s house of Melissa’s mom. It included a barn that was converted to a house and an “abandoned house” that they are remodeling.
Tony and Melissa, thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys are the best. I can’t wait for May 2009 to get here.
