I’m sure you all remember Boyd & April from last winter. They were part of my most favorite photo in front of the La Crosse sign. I was delighted when April asked me to do a family session with Boyd’s two children at April’s home. April grew up on a farm just a few miles down the road from me. I haven’t been to her family’s house in quite some time. I had one of those experiences where everything looks so SMALL because I was just so small myself the last time I was there.
We started out with some family pictures. We had an incident with the electric fence, but everyone is OK. Not everyone can be rough and tough farm kids like April and me. 🙂 (there is much sarcasm there, neither one of us had to do any farm chores)
Then we let the kids play on the trampoline and went off on our own for some pictures of just April and Boyd. I am so excited for their wedding (which will be on the farm). April just totally GETS what I’m trying to do, and she has great ideas for poses too. Boyd, not to be left out, just wants to make April happy, so he’ll do pretty much whatever we want. I think a “yes, dear” or two was muttered by him. 🙂
We joked that this pose felt like they were looking out over their homestead. I had to add an “aged” process to it.
April and Boyd, thank you so much for asking me over for another session. I have a few more “most favorite” pictures now. Your wedding needs to hurry up and get here!

That’s so odd…good thing he isn’t a cow. 🙂
These are perfect Tiffany!!! SO HAPPY! We had so much fun – despite the fence issue (which we later found out Boyd apparently has super powers because the fence doesn’t affect him!!!) Thanks again! You rock! Can’t wait until October!!
