I’ve been trying to upload to Flickr all day. Ugh. It doesn’t seem like they are having problems. I don’t know what was wrong, but finally, pictures!
Today is our third wedding anniversary. I get asked a lot about who we had for a wedding photographer, so I’m happy to share some pictures. We had Black Oak Photography, which used to be located in Viroqua, WI. She moved that summer though and is now in Coleman, WI according to her web site. Here are a few of my favorites. They were shot in film and scanned in (she gave us the negatives for personal use), so unfortunately the quality is not the best on screen.
Today for our anniversary, Ryan took the day off and we (minus Max, thanks Mom!) went out for breakfast, which is by far my favorite meal of the day. I have always wanted to go to the Culina Mariana restaurant at La Crosse’s new attraction, the Shrine of Guadalupe. Ryan and I aren’t catholic, but I’ve heard lots of good things about the restaurant and the beautiful location. The shrine/cathedral isn’t finished yet, but the grounds and the restaurant are gorgeous. It would actually make a really nice spot for an engagement session – lots of nature and the buildings have a European feel to them. We had a really nice morning, and will definitely return.
More pictures from the shrine are on Flickr.
And then some anniversary pictures taken by my mom. Max wasn’t in a photo mood. Apparently he didn’t understand the whole anniversary thing.

Happy Anniversary. I love the photos from your wedding. AND your breakfast. yum! Just wanted to let you know I am LOVING all the new pictures you have posted. I wish you were around when I got married… I had no clue who to hire. Maybe some day we can do a TTD, if I can get matt to agree…and IF I ever fit in my dress again 🙂
