Adam & Mikell’s wedding | La Crosse, WI wedding photographer

Saturday was Adam and Mikell’s wedding. Leading up to Saturday, I was convinced it was going to be terrible weather – cold and rainy and snowy, but it actually ended being sunny (still very cold though). The event was coordinated by the fabulous Weddings by Nancy (she’s the best!).

Everyone got ready in the Mississippi suite at the Radisson hotel. Mikel’s dress was gorgeous. Their flowers were by Monet, of course and equally gorgeous.

The photo on the right was taken by my second shooter, Dawn Silva.

Adam and Mikell saw each other before the ceremony. We had their first look right in the suite.

The ceremony was supposed to be held outside along the river, but because we had 40-degree temps and it was really windy, they moved the ceremony to the foyer of their reception hall – the Cargill room of the Waterfront. I know there are few people that read this site that work in this building and would probably never think of the foyer as a location for a wedding ceremony, but it worked and it was beautiful.

Mikell arrived on horse and carriage (this photo by Dawn).

After the ceremony, I was able to take a few pictures of Adam and Mikell alone.

The lovely, lovely details…Nancy rocks and so does the Waterfront. That’s all I can say. The following photo was taken by Dawn.

They broke the rules of the midwest and had their first dance before dinner. Music Mix of La Crosse was the DJ – always highly recommend them!

Mikell’s sister was a little nervous about talking in front of everyone. 🙂

She had a really great speech though.

Adam and Mikell, thank you for letting me be a part of your day. It was beautiful!
