I hope you all have had a wonderful holiday season. Before it comes to a close tonight, I want to share Andy and Chrissy’s engagement session from last week. Chrissy thought a Mad Men-esque theme at the Starlight would be fun, and then hit up the Rotary Lights. I was a little nervous with the low lighting conditions I might face. Luckily, my old second shooter, Dawn Silva was home for the holidays and could tag along to provide some off-camera lighting.
We started at the Starlight Lounge, located above Buzzard Billy’s in La Crosse. I used off-camera lighting for some very different looks than what I normally do during engagement sessions and it was really fun!
I did some shots with just natural light, and I love the feel of these too.
Then we hit up Pearl Street and later the Rotary Lights. Chrissy was a trouper walking around in those red heels!
Chrissy and Andy, thanks for a fun afternoon. I can’t wait for your backyard wedding next June! And, Dawn, thank you again for helping!
