Saturday was Dan and Kim’s wedding. It was my last wedding for the year, and it really couldn’t have been more fantastic. The ceremony was held at the San Damiano chapel on the campus of Viterbo University.
But, first, my second shooter, Dawn Silva and I started out at Dan and Kim’s home for some detail shots of the dress, and shoes, and rings. I can’t really express how much I love these pictures.
Kim and Dan saw each other before the ceremony. We had a first-look at the church, took all of the formals before the ceremony (yay!), and still had enough time to get some awesome pictures of just Dan and Kim around the church. I love these pictures too. 🙂
The middle picture shown above was taken by my second shooter, Dawn Silva. It is just another one of those moments that she captures that I could never get – I was taking an individual shot of Dan.
This picture was also taken by Dawn Silva.
This picture taken by me. I love this one too. 🙂
If you remember, I had a wedding in this church earlier in the year. The ceremony takes place in the middle of the sanctuary. It’s a neat set-up.
After the ceremony, we drove around La Crosse, WI and hit up a few bars and a few outside spots for pictures. Kim and Dan were so great. It was COLD outside, but they were up for anything.
And, now, my personal favorite part of their wedding…the reception! It was located in the Grand Hotel Ballroom located above the Pearl Ice Cream and Coffee Shop, which is located in downtown La Crosse, WI. For any of you not familiar, Pearl St. in La Crosse is a super cute, old-fashioned-looking street. The Pearl is a pretty popular spot, and I’ve taken a lot of pictures this year in and around the buildings. The ballroom is described as a 1930s Art Deco reception hall. It is just gorgeous (lots of exposed brick and cool furnishings). I highly recommend it for any couple wanting an intimate wedding.
This first picture of the bar was taken by Dawn Silva, the rest in this collage are by me.
Kim and Dan, if I didn’t gush enough on Saturday, I will gush some more. Your wedding was just perfect. It was a really nice end to my wedding season. It’s always nice to photograph a wedding for people that I know, and I know that you two will have much happiness together. I wish you the best!
